At Buy Me A Rose, we strive to facilitate positive experiences between creators and supporters. This Refund Policy outlines when refunds may be issued for various types of transactions on our platform.

Please read this policy carefully before making any purchases. By using our Service, you agree to these refund terms.

2. One-Time Rose Payments

2.1 General Policy

One-time rose payments (one-off donations to creators) are generally non-refundable once processed, as these are voluntary contributions to support creators.

2.2 Exceptions

Refunds for one-time payments may be considered if:

  • Unauthorized transaction: Your payment method was used without your permission
  • Technical error: You were charged multiple times due to a system error
  • Creator fraud: The creator account was fraudulent or engaging in scams

2.3 Time Limit

Refund requests for one-time payments must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction.

3. Monthly Subscriptions

3.1 Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to subscription benefits until that date.

3.2 No Partial Refunds

We do not offer partial refunds for cancelled subscriptions. If you cancel mid-month, you will:

  • Continue to have access until the end of your billing cycle
  • Not be charged for the following month
  • Not receive a prorated refund for unused days

3.3 First Payment Refunds

If you're unsatisfied with a creator's subscription within the first 48 hours of your initial payment, you may request a full refund by contacting support. This one-time courtesy refund applies only to first-time subscriptions with a creator.

3.4 Creator-Initiated Changes

If a creator significantly changes their subscription offerings (e.g., raises prices, removes major benefits), existing subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance. You may:

  • Accept the changes and continue your subscription
  • Cancel without penalty before changes take effect

4. Extras and Digital Products

4.1 Digital Downloads

Digital products (wallpapers, stickers, downloadable content) are non-refundable once downloaded, as they cannot be "returned."

4.2 Before Download

If you have not yet downloaded a digital product, refunds may be available within 24 hours of purchase for:

  • Accidental purchases
  • Technical issues preventing access

4.3 Defective Products

If a digital product is defective or not as described:

  • Contact the creator first to request a fix or replacement
  • If unresolved, contact Buy Me A Rose support within 7 days
  • Provide evidence of the issue (screenshots, description mismatch)

We may issue a refund or work with the creator to provide a replacement.

5. Commission Requests

5.1 Before Work Begins

If a creator has not yet started work on your commission:

  • You may cancel and receive a full refund
  • Contact the creator to cancel
  • If the creator agrees, refund will be processed within 5-7 business days

5.2 After Work Begins

Once a creator has started work:

  • Refunds are negotiated between you and the creator
  • Partial refunds may be appropriate based on work completed
  • Buy Me A Rose can mediate disputes but cannot force refunds

5.3 Incomplete or Undelivered Commissions

If a creator fails to deliver your commission:

  • Contact the creator first to inquire about status
  • If no response within 14 days, contact Buy Me A Rose support
  • Provide details of the request and payment
  • We will investigate and may issue a refund if warranted

5.4 Disputed Quality

Quality disputes are handled case-by-case:

  • If the work substantially differs from the agreed-upon description, refunds may be available
  • If you simply changed your mind, refunds are not typically granted
  • Always communicate clearly with creators about expectations upfront

6. Creator-to-Creator Gifts

Rose gifts sent between creators are non-refundable as they are voluntary gestures of support. These transactions cannot be reversed except in cases of fraud or unauthorized access.

7. Platform Fees

If a refund is issued:

  • You will receive a full refund of the amount you paid
  • Creators will not receive the funds
  • Buy Me A Rose platform fees and payment processing fees are non-refundable

Example: If you paid $10 for roses, you get $10 back. The creator receives $0. Buy Me A Rose absorbs the platform and processing fees.

8. How to Request a Refund

8.1 Contact the Creator First

For many issues, the fastest resolution is to contact the creator directly:

  • Send a message through their Buy Me A Rose page
  • Explain the issue clearly
  • Creators often want to make things right

8.2 Contact Buy Me A Rose Support

If you cannot resolve the issue with the creator, or if the creator is unresponsive:

  1. Email refunds@buymearose.com
  2. Include:
    • Your username and email
    • Transaction ID or date
    • Creator name
    • Detailed explanation of the issue
    • Any supporting evidence (screenshots, messages)
  3. We will review and respond within 5-7 business days

8.3 Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed as follows:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: 1-3 business days
  • Bank Transfers: 7-14 business days

Note: Refund timing depends on your financial institution.

9. Chargebacks

Please contact Buy Me A Rose before filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks:

12. Creator Refund Responsibilities

Creators should:

  • Respond promptly to supporter concerns
  • Honor commitments made in tier descriptions or commission agreements
  • Communicate proactively about delays or issues
  • Work collaboratively to resolve disputes

Creators who fail to deliver promised content or engage in fraudulent behavior may have funds withheld and face account termination.

13. Tax Implications

Refunds may have tax implications:

  • Supporters: Refunded amounts are not deductible as charitable donations (roses are not tax-deductible)
  • Creators: Refunded amounts should not be reported as income. Consult a tax professional for guidance.

Note: Buy Me A Rose is not a charity, and rose payments are not tax-deductible donations.
